I know this is late but here is my blog about souls...

I think that there is definitely something inside of us that makes us who we are besides our mind and body. How we know that something is right or wrong, when we fall in love, when we experience something so wonderful it overwhelms us, even just feeling completely content about life in general. All of these feelings i believe comes from something other than our mind or body. They are feelings that we can't understand where they come from. We know that our body has its own senses but those are just physical. Is our brain really making all of these feelings come to life for us?

I think its nice that we have something to look forward to when we die, even if it might not be real. The idea of being one with the earth or going to heaven is nice, but we don't know for sure what will happen to our "something" when we die. Whether it is a soul or something else, what will happen to it? I also think that the idea of a soul has been used as a comfort to those unwilling to accept that they are going die and just be dead. It's more of a happy thought to think that a part of you will life on forever. Whether we have a soul or not its nice to think that we do.
